About this product:

Firemen's WCis an effective low cost fire retardant chemical for many unfinished materials.  Firemen's WC is clear and colorless and the natural appearance of most materials is retained after application.  Firemen's WC treated materials may be left finished or unfinished with an approved coating or sealed with an appropriate Firemen's WC coating. 

Firemen's WC is perfect for application to:

  • unfinished wood

  • plywood

  • acoustical board

  • insulation board

  • cellulose board

  • fibreboard

  • excelsior

  • wood shavings

  • paper 

Firemen's WC can be used in --

  • office buildings
  • condominiums

  • and other similar type construction where reduced fire hazards are to be considered in specifications

Firemen's WC treated surface may be left unfinished or may be finished with a compatible stain or coating to suit customer wants.

Firemen's WC  is accepted and approved by many cities and states and is classified by Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) for Douglas fir

Low Cost --

Firemen's WC is economical.  The compound is inexpensive;  freight cost is minimized by shipping to job site; is simple and easy to apply

Available in ready-for-use solutions or as dry compound to be dissolved in water.

Recommended Application Method

WOOD Use 3 lbs per gallon of water.  One gallon will treat 110 sq ft in three spray coats or by immersion.  28 lbs concentrated compound to treat 1000 sq ft.
PLYWOOD Use 3 lbs per gallon of water.  One gallon will treat 110 sq ft in three spray coats or by immersion.  28 lbs concentrated compound to treat 1000 sq ft.
CELLULOSE BOARD Use 3 lbs per gallon of water.  One gallon will treat 60 sq ft.  50 lbs required to treat 1000 sq ft.
CORRUGATED PAPER BOARD Use 4 lbs per gallon of water.  one gallon will treat approximately 300 sq ft.
SPLIT and MATCHSTICK BAMBOO Use 4 lbs per gallon of water by immersion.
PAPER Use 3 lbs per gallon of water.  One gallon will treat 400 sq ft.
